Q: What is the origin of myBurgerLab?

A: It all started in 2012, when 3 Malaysians visited America. They had burgers there, then came up with the idea of creating one of their own, started in Malaysia since then. myBurgerlab is currently operating in 4 stores nationwide, and had their first branch in Cambodia in early 2015.

Q: What makes myBurgerLab different from others?

A: I would say, on the first glance, our buns are already making ourselves standing out than the buns, used in the other burger brands. The black color brings out the uniqueness, making the curiosity. Secondly, it’s our taste to keep our customers staying. The usual burgers consists of meat, sauce and the buns itself, but for ours, the varieties of choices for the customers are many. From vegetarians to fruit, we experiment and create more preferences. The customers always want something new, and we keep searching what they want.

Thirdly, we will make sure that our customers always have good experiences, eating in our restaurant. The satisfactory from our customers, will keep us going. Lastly, the decoration and facilities of our restaurant are friendly and convenient for our customers to dine comfortably. We serve beyond than our food, which makes one of our slogan, “We do not serve just a burger.”

Q: The bamboo charcoal powder are used to make the black buns. What is the purpose of using it?

A: It serves no purpose, but to drive our market. The first buns, were made in Malaysia’s, were in normal color, which made it no different from the others. But how to make people know us despite the competition in this market? So, we decided to come out in different appearance. Since then, the black buns have become our trademark. Every times they see a black bun, they think of myBurgerLab.

Q: To continue standing in this market, as a part of a western food chain in Cambodia, what is your thought about the market competition here?

A: It’s hard to say. Burgers came to this country 10 years ago, it once was a completely different food to the native people here. However, time flies and some of us are already getting used to it. So to continue staying in this competitive market, we always need something new to stay in the market, to keep our brand alive. We just came out with our new recipe, The Spicy Gang Won Do, known as spicy kimchi burger. It contains all the spicy ingredients included the famous Korean Kimchi, Ginger, Fresh Chilli & Hawaii Chilli with some Spicy Syrup on top, came with roasted bacon and Australian beef. If you think you can eat spicy, try ours.

Nevertheless to say, you may want to try yourself and tell us what you like about myBurgerLab.
