The Oyster Bar – Our Experience with Premium Seafood Restaurant

We’re back to our Seafood topic again. So where else do you think of when it comes to Seafood in Phnom Penh beside foodstall at Toul Tom Pung, Family Seafood dinner at Sonivid, or Seafood dish at Chinese Restaurants?

What we’re about to introduce, is a very premium and classy Seafood Restaurants.

The Oyster Bar opened early last year, purposely serves you the premium quality of Seafood and Western dining experience. They serves all familiar types of Seafood from Oysters, Mussel, Snail, Shell, and Shrimp to Scallop.

We’ve been to The Oyster Bar last month, and we are really excited to share you our experiences.

So majestic........heavy-breathing. This is "House" Seafood Plate.

We ordered “House” Seafood plate for USD 25.00, which is normally for 1-2 people. It came with Pacific Oysters (the name of the oysters) combined the rest we mentioned earlier (except Scallop), with three different sauces served: Sweet Chili sauce, Green Chili sauce and their signature sauce (which tastes a little weird and not our type, but good aroma). We absolutely love the freshness of the seafood, and their way of dressing in round plate, which is definitely instagramable. We ordered 6 extra oysters, because we couldn’t get enough of them.

Vegetated and healthy, with this Mushroom Soup.

And then, we had Mushroom Soup, costs at USD 7.50. I have never been a fan of this soup, but my friend loved it which I assumed it was good? The restaurant offered us a glass of champagne for free of charge, totally matched with our dining mood.

This one did not live up to our expectation.

Then, we had Seafood Spaghetti (I insisted if we should have Carbonara instead?) with the price at USD 14.00, which left us quite disappointed from what we expected. We got Tenderloin Steak with the price at USD 30.00 as our last dish. The Australian beef is always the juiciest and oilier than Khmer beef, plus the gravy sauce was the god’s work. It added so much flavor to the meat.

We love this part right here.....

Overall, we’re satisfied with our experience at The Oyster Bar. Additionally, we came to realize that The Oyster Bar is not just a premium Seafood restaurant, but it offers you the trendy and western dining experience comes with drink bar, and it’s a perfect place for dinner.
