TOUL KORK has been a developing spot and destined to be a dining destination in Phnom Penh as we have seen a few new restaurants popped up across the region recently and more are planned. Sakinoya Restaurant is one of many restaurants which recently opened since early December 2019.

Okamoto Tomomi. Tomo San an executive chef of Sakinoya Restaurant – fell in love with cooking from a young age and his dream has always been to deliver authentic Japanese cuisine with culture to diners.

After 5 years being a chef in Tokyo, 10 years in Hongkong and 20 years in Thailand, Tomo San settles in Cambodia with one purpose is to furnish authentic Japanese cuisine with his expertized cooking skill into the international market.

“Coming to Sakinoya, you can expect all kind of special Japanese food. One of the most recommended dishes is Duck Soba/Udon which is my special dish that has been recognized in Hongkong and​ Thailand” said Tomo San.

Love Japanese cuisine? Then, you are familiar with Teppanyaki which is a traditional style of Japanese cuisine that uses an iron griddle to cook food to create a fun, lively and exciting dining experience.

Mr. William San, the Master Chef of Teppanyaki at Sakinoya Restaurant, said “Despite being a chef around Asia for about 30 years, I would like to bring my passion to Cambodia and delivers my Teppanyaki skill to share among diners who love grilled food with joy”.

Besides Udon and Teppanyaki that we have mentioned above, there will be a wide range of foods on menu for you to choose from starters, appetizers to main dishes and dessert. Yet, we have told that if you don’t want to order a la carte from the menu, Sakinoya Restaurant offers 8-course meal to 10-course meal with a wide range of wine and drinks as well.
