5 Places for Afternoon Tea in Phnom Penh
I believe some people are looking forward to sipping hot tea, chit chatting with friends on the weekend. So here are 5 places in Phnom Penh where you may find what is known as Afternoon Tea or High Tea.
#1 Club Millésime, Sofitel Phnom Penh
This high tea place is literally HIGH as it is on the 12th floor of Sofitel Phnom Penh Phokeethra Hotel. For $15+ a person you can get a three tiers of sweet and savory treats ranging from chocolate truffles to cake and to crust less smoked salmon sandwiches, plus a free flow of different kinds of tea.
If you want sparkling wine instead of tea, it’s $25+. You can enjoy the view, the serenity, and the tasty treats, but it’s only from 3PM to 5PM.
Location: 26 Old August Site, Sothearos Boulevard, Phnom Penh
#2 Elephant Bar, Raffles Le Royal
This classic Cambodia’s golden era inspired high tea is not any less glamorous than the one above. From 3:30PM to 5:30PM, there are two options here: 1. A traditional Western tea that comes with smoked salmon and roast beef sandwiches or 2. An Asian inspired “Angkor” high tea that comes with a chocolate theme, or a sweet and savory macaron version.
From $14.50 for tea and $26.50 for Champagne, you can either have it inside their classic bar or by the pool.
Location: 92 Daun Penh Avenue, Sangkat Wat Phnom, Phnom Penh
#3 TWG
A tea set for 2 people, or 1 if you’re selfish, TWG’s selection is nothing less than fancy! You get three tiers of treats and a beautiful pot of their fine tea, for around $15 and served at any hour, but you can also order it separately.
You get to sip your tea, snap some glorious pictures and catch the Marina Bay kind of vibe as it is located in the Vattanac Capital tower. Oh and you also get a complimentary mini basket of breads! Winning!!!
Location: Vattanac Capital Tower, No. 66, Monivong Boulevard
#4 The Shop
Only at $12 but I promise you it’s not any less than the ones above! The Shop’s high tea comes with 2 tiers of treats and of course, tea! If you’re into nature and none of those fancy things, then The Shop is your place because their atmosphere is super relaxing!
Location: The Chocolate Shop 240 (#35, Street 240) & The Shop 240 (#39, Street 240)
#5 Maison Kayser
High tea in a brunch style! Maison Kayser offers brunch at $14.90/person every Saturday and Sunday at Vattanac Capitol branch and Riverside branch.
Their brunch comes with free flow of many delicious selections of tea, or coffee, and free flow of croissants and many more dishes shuffling every week! From 8AM to 3PM, you will barely notice the time as you enjoy your food and sip your tea away!
Location: Vattanac Capital Tower & Along Sisowath Quay Boulevard
All right, I hope I catch you tea lovers’ attention and hopefully get non-tea lovers to try as well! Actually, it’s a perfect weather for tea as some of us are catching colds now too. So, maybe give high tea, or tea, a try and let us know your experience! We would love to hear it * sipping tea *.
