In service since 1998 and still as popular as ever, SURN YI Vegetarian Restaurant is definitely a hidden local favorite. Locating near Preah Sisowat High School, the restaurant is a gem for the students there. You can see that people love their noodle soup and side dishes so much that they have come here even after they graduate high school.

Phnom Penh residents might have seen this place like forever. Try going there for dinner or lunch, you’ll be amazed at the number of customers! Mercy House isn’t just a spacious restaurant with a family-friendly atmosphere, its soup and meatballs (vegetarian) are the items hard to beat. You can find a small card in the front selling spiced grilled mushrooms that you probably can’t find anywhere else in the evening too if you’re lucky.
