Our 5 Most Favorite Places of 2022 to Go for Food and Drinks
It should come as no surprise that FoodBuzz team spends a lot of time eating, drinking, cooking and thinking about eating and drinking again. And 2022 was a phenomenal year for doing just that. After waking up from a deadly disease for 2 years, FoodBuzz team participated in many food festivals in Phnom Penh this year such as Slaprea, Factory food festival, weekend market and more.
While our team has enjoyed countless fabulous meals throughout the year, there are always a few star-studded restaurants that stand out. As we’re celebrating the end of the year, here are some of our favorite places to go for food and drinks.

Wanna look for Hanoi food cooked and prepared by Vietnamese people? ToFu Homemade is where we discover this year and we love it here. You might want to try the big set because there are many kinds of meats coming along the veggies and shrimp paste dipping sauce. Sadly, we didn’t recognize the name of the set, but we surely can show you the photo of the food. The shrimp paste dipping sauce has a strong flavor that match so well with all the veggies and meats on the palate. Another thing we love here besides food is the outdoor seat that you can enjoy the food with fresh air – chill and fresh during the relaxing time with your friends.

A low-budget hot pot that will satisfy your hot-pot crave. Kungfu Kitchen is hit the peak of fame from the late 2021 till now. We can’t deny that broth at Kungfu Kitchen is a little milder that some of other authentic hot pot place, but the taste will keep enchanting you. With lower that $8, you can have a set of hot pot including a plate of meat of your choice, a bowl of veggies and more. One of our favorite dishes is Kungfu Crispy Squid with Dried Chili and Peanuts – the crispiness of the squid that was deep-fried with chili and peanuts and coated with salted egg captures everyone’s attention just by the sound of biting it. A little of salty and spicy in the tongue, we can’t forget the taste even in our dream.

Le Manolis is a bar resides in French colonial building that just open in the early 2022 – very sophisticate and elegant – that makes it what we love. Set aside the ambience, we’re always at Le Manolis with a glass of cocktail and we never stop with just one glass. Any cocktails from Le Manolis will catch your breath after the first sip. You might want to try it out yourself on New Year Day.

We can’t miss this one. The Elia Greek Kitchen was our one of favorite place for food in Siem Reap and it came to Phnom Penh, it becomes our favorite place to go in Phnom Penh. Greek food is not for everyone, we can say that. Some people think that Greek food is a bit flavorless, but you know what – it doesn’t have to be flavor-dense to define it good. We love the Mixed Meats Platter that serve on a platter consisting of many kinds of meats such as Kitchen Skewer, Australian Beef Skewer, Australian ribeye meatball, homemade sausage along with fries, Pita bread, and various dipping sauces – every bite would make you want to come back for one more.

Always go for a high-end restaurant located on the higher level of building? We want something different for 2022 and we met El Tapas, an authentic Spanish restaurant that resides at Hotel KVL underground. With such an elegant look and sophisticate ambience, El Tapas considers a romantic place to go for a Spanish dinner date. We recommend the Iberico Ham Platter serving with Premium 48 months Iberico Ham with sour dough bread. A little bit salty but it balances the taste with sour dough bread. A lot of more dishes that you can find here.
