#1 Bach Sach Chrouk (Rice with grilled pork) at Om Hing’s 

A very typical breakfast would be a plate filled with steamed rice with well-marinated grilled pork, eating along with the fresh pickled papaya-cucumber, and well-seasoned sauce.

#2 Balut and Dessert at Ms. Chreub’s 

This place serves the greatest and real unique pickled chilies and radishes to eat with balut. You can also grab a kind of popular Cambodian dessert here. For your information, it closed every Buddhist holy day, so avoid visiting there on those days.

#3 Banh Cheav Angkor

With the well-mixed powder, a bunch of cooked minced pork, and freaking tasty dipping sauce, this is a popular place to enjoy Banh Xeo (Sizzling Pancake).

#4 Maju at Om Nga’s 

You can find a variety of fresh and pickled fruit here with a number of spicy spices. You can also have a special fried meatball, veggie wrapped in fish meatball, bread with cooked morning glory too.

#5 Fried rice at Ms. Pror Chruy’s 

It is a great place to enjoy Cambodian suppers such as fried rice and fried noodles. They serve a typical menu, but their taste is not typical.

#6 Steamed shells and tiny clams at Ms. Tom’s 

Ms. Tom specializes in steamed freshwater clams dipped into special tamarind sauce. It sounds like typical seafood, but the flavorful of freshwater clams and mussels here in Ms. Tom’s house surely is heaven.

#7 Reasksmey Siem Reap Beef Soup

The most popular dish here is the beef leg soup that you can enjoy drinking the tasty fluid. The extraordinary taste of their soup has blown people’s minds away and that should be what attracts them to repeat going there.

#8 Mee Kola Siem Reap

It’s one of the best places serving Mee Kola in town as well as other ASEAN dishes such as Banh Sung, Fresh Spring Rolls, and desserts.

#9 Chicken Rice Porridge at Bakheng Mountain

Though it’s quite far from town, it’s worth traveling that far for a big bowl of appetizing chicken rice porridge of this place in the evening. It will boost up your energy after a long tiring day.

#10 Grilled beef skewers at Wat Damnark

Truth be told, this is the best place to have the beef skewers grilled directly on charcoal which is served with pickled papaya-cucumber along with crispy breadsticks.

#11 Khmer beef stew (Khor Ko) at the riverside

There are many local breakfast dishes on the menu including rice porridge, noodle soup but the best one is their best Khmer beef stew aka Khor Ko, which you can have with just heated breadsticks or cooked instant noodles.

#12 Mi Keav Siem Reap Restaurant

It’s a great combination of having well-seasoned soup with duck meat and dumplings together especially on rainy or cold days.
