The Spiciest Chili Pepper in the world - Carolina Reaper
Carolina Reaper, just the sound of it is scary already. I don’t know about you but it sounds like it will eat me back alive.
Carolina Reaper was created by a South Carolina breeder named Ed Currie. It is so spicy, you can even be hospitalized if you try to eat it.
Peppers’ spiciness is usually measured using the SHU system (Scoville Heat Units). Our commonly used chili in Cambodia, Cayenne chili has a SHU of 30000 - 50000 while today’s star, Carolina Reaper has up to 2,200,000 SHU. That’s a big load of spiciness!
