Sushi Zo the exquisite Michelin Star Dining Omakase Experience in Phnom Penh!!

We are thrilled to announce that Michelin-starred dining is coming to Cambodia. On 19th, October, Sushi Zo will slide its door open in Phnom Penh, bringing an authentic omakase experience like none other in the country.

Founded in Los Angeles in 1991, by Osaka-born sushi master Keizo Seki, the restaurant has earned one Michelin star in two Los Angeles restaurants for its omakase menus featuring the highest quality seafood shipped in daily from Japan.

Chef Keizo Seki was trained in Tokyo and brings decades of experience crafting authentic Edomae-style sushi. He always focuses on bringing out the fish's natural flavors rather than masking them with many accouterments. At Sushi Zo Phnom Penh, we honor this tradition by allowing the fish to shine through.

Now, after conquering the palates of LA, New York, Bangkok, and Hong Kong foodies, Chef Keizo Seki is bringing his culinary talents to Cambodia. Here in Phnom Penh, he put his trust in two Japanese Chefs to lead the restaurant: Kensuke Morishima and Yoichi Sato.

We have fresh fish delivered daily from Japan, which is always the catch of the day, allowing us to change the menu daily. With ingredients sourced directly from Japan, we can promise an unparalleled level of freshness and flavor in every bite. Meaning "I'll leave it to you", omakase at Sushi Zo is a committed dining experience, shifting the paradigm of the relationship between guest and chef.

At Sushi Zo Phnom Penh, guests can look forward to a truly captivating omakase journey. Our omakase menu is meant to be a journey, you'll sample a variety of sushi, sashimi, and appetizers, each highlighting the freshest seasonal ingredients. Pair your experience with our exclusive collection of premium Sake.

We value personal connections, our intimate 10-seat sushi bar allows the two Chefs to personally guide you through the meal, explaining the provenance of the fish and the proper way to eat each piece. We take great pride in getting to know our guests and aim to make each visit feel like dining with old friends.

The design of the restaurant is a minimalist zen and intimate style where the best thing comes from the best material itself.  Created to build deep connections between the guests and the chefs. Take your seat surrounded by the two Daté Kan stones, formed 20 million years ago as a result of a volcanic explosion, firmly buried deeply underground, and emerging as huge crystal deformations near Mount Okurayama.

From the 19th of October, we invite you to book your omakase journey and be among the first to discover the new standard for engaged dining in Phnom Penh, an experience to remember!
