Fumizen Opens Its Doors to Patrons Who Love Authentic Japanese Cuisine

Siem Reap, Cambodia – The world renowned Fumizen Restaurant is finally here! This authentic Japanese restaurant has been in the industry for 40 years and has established itself a brand name perceived positively in Japan. It is recognized for offering reasonably priced high-grade authentic Japanese cuisine made using only the highest quality ingredients, plus the warm and homey ambience of the restaurant make everyone want to visit again. 

The first franchise in the country will be opened on Friday, 10th July 2020, at The Aviary Hotel located at No. 9, Tep Vong Street, Siem Reap, Cambodia. It is an auspicious moment to bring Fumizen to the tourism center of the country, and offer locals, expats and travelling tourists – the Japanese dining experience like never before. 

Phally, the head Chef at Fumizen, have been in Japan to train personally on the Japanese culinary arts and bring home the acquired skills to be enjoyed by the restaurant’s patrons, affirmed that “Our signature dish, Tonkatsu is what we are really proud of, and would be delighted to serve this high-grade, carefully selected and prepared meat locked in with a crispy crust to our valued clients.”

Tonkatsu is a deep-fried Japanese pork cutlet and is one of the most popular authentic Japanese dishes. The pork loin or pork medallion is dipped into a batter of flour and egg, coated with breadcrumbs, deep-fried, and then served hot.  To get the most out of tonkatsu dining experience, ordering the teishoku (set meal) is a must, which comes with shredded cabbage, rice, miso soup (a fermented bean paste) and Japanese pickles.

Joffrey Thin-Gris, General Manager commented that “the opening of a restaurant like Fumizen, brings the competition to another level to capture the attention of the customers. Fumizen comes with an array of delightful seasonal Japanese cuisine starting from freshly sliced sashimi, healthy shabu-shabu cooked in special soba soup that brings out the rich taste of high-quality black pork, variety of sushi, udon noodles, deep-fried assorted seafood, and other dishes that can be enjoyed with the delicious truffle salt, rock salt, tartar sauce and other sauces that enhance the flavors of each meal. Seasonal delicacies are also being offered.

The restaurant’s Management Team fully understands the intricacy of preparing a Japanese cuisine that is also synonymous with high quality, hence they ensure and that all fish, meat and vegetables are organically produced from a Japanese farm. The restaurant also focuses on delivering high quality service to its customers, and in line with this, Ms. Carine Lantignac (Principal at One Step Into), has conducted a week-long and thorough Japanese Training Style for Fumizen’s staff with the goal of having quality and precision of details in Japanese service, which the restaurant gained authenticity by training the staff to work in a Japanese style. It could without a doubt, be a greater experience to exceed customers’ expectations and a perfect match to the place. 

Fumizen offers a private room for 6 persons that is available with an early booking request via phone or e-mail, for families and small business gatherings. As a way of welcoming customers to the restaurant, Fumizen will roll out a “Buy one, get free one plus a drink” promotion for the whole month of July, which will changed weekly, offering different meal sets to choose from.
