At a press conference held at the Academy of Culinary Arts Cambodia, key figures from Cambodia's hospitality and tourism sectors gathered to generate excitement for the event. These included representatives from the Cambodia Tourism Federation, Professional Institute of Excellence Association, Accommodation, Cambodia Restaurant Association, Cambodia Chefs' Society, Academy of the Culinary Arts Cambodia, Cambodia Hotel Association, and Cambodia Spa and Wellness Association. 

Ms. Alice Lem, Event & Business Development Director for Malaysia & Cambodia at Informa Markets, announced that CAMFOOD & CAMHOTEL 2024 will feature over 150 exhibitors and is expected to attract more than 12,000 visitors. "This landmark event reflects the robust growth and immense potential of Cambodia's hospitality industry," she stated.

The exhibition will spotlight three main profiles: 

Catering Equipment: Showcasing the latest innovations in commercial kitchen technology, food preparation tools, and restaurant supplies. 

Food and Beverages: Featuring a vast selection of ingredients, beverages, and finished products from around the world. 

Hospitality and Retail: Presenting cutting-edge hospitality services, technology solutions, and retail innovations. 
“The exhibition offers a comprehensive platform for industry professionals to showcase products, source new suppliers, stay ahead of trends, and build crucial business relationships.  A highlight of the event will be the National Culinary Competition 2024, featuring eleven diverse categories that celebrate culinary skill and creativity.  These include fruit and vegetable carving, a turkey challenge, black box competitions, vegetarian cuisine, wedding cake design, and hospitality skills such as bed making and floral arrangement, sommelier and table setting competition. The competition is made possible through collaborations with key industry partners including, KSLM, USA Poultry, CAPFISH CAPTURE-UNIDO, and HITEC Water. 

 "This year's National Culinary Competition will push the boundaries of culinary excellence. We've designed challenges that test technical skills and celebrate Cambodia's rich culinary heritage and fusion with international cuisine," said Mr. Song Teng, President of the Cambodia Chefs' Society (CCS).

The press conference concluded with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Cambodia Tourism Federation and Informa Markets. This MOU paves the way for joint initiatives focused on knowledge-sharing workshops, industry best practice exchange programs, and collaborative marketing efforts to promote Cambodia as a world-class hospitality destination.
