Pork and Rice or “Bay Srob” is just an ordinary breakfast for Cambodians which can easily be found almost everywhere around the country. But which place goes well with your taste buds, that’s quite a problem. So, we tried 7 Pork and Rice at 7 difference places below:
#1 Reth Sonita (Nhok) or Bay Post
Commonly know as “Bay Post”, very well-known around Bak Touk High School area and has been in business for about 35 years already, they serve their dishes with thinly sliced fried pork and rice for 6000r and extra 1000r for an extra fried egg.

#2 Bay Ta Veng
Very hidden at the north of Modial Center, but well-known through their reputation and nickname of “scrambled egg rice”, they definitely do not let us down because they really do serve their rice with grilled pork and a huge slice of scrambled egg covering the plate! Tasty looking and costs 5000r/plate! Oh, and they also have their signature pig brain soup (4000r) to help boost your day! (*wink wink*)

#3 Bay IFL
Most of IFL students may have heard or tried "Banh Srung" down the road in front of IFL, and they must have also known that this place also serves our typical Cambodian breakfast, pork rice in the morning. Sold in a very affordable price, only at 4000r/plate, all the students can get a plate of pork and rice with fried egg to get started with their day!

#4 Bay Toul Kork Primary School
Known as rice with caramelized broth or rice around Toul Kork primary school, this place is super popular for those who live in the neighborhood, actually also for those who don’t! The selling points for their pork and rice is the caramelized broth that they add on the dish itself, and also their signature sweet fish sauce. For 6000r a plate, you can eat a delicious rice with pork and caramelized eggs in quite a nice and not stuffy environment!

There’s definitely always food in a market area and this place has been in business for around decades aready, although it may not look as apealling but if you haven’t tried their food, how do you know you would not like it? The best thing about their pork rice is their girlled fatty pork as well as their grilled pork ribs that are sold at 6000r a plate.

#6 Bay Ang Eng School
There’s also this popular pork rice place in this area right in front of Ang Eng school’s entrance. Also has been in business for no less than 30 years, there’s not a day when this place is not packed with customers. Want to know what’s the hype of this place or how good their food is? Go try out yourself, only 4000r/plate!

#7 Yong Fa Rice & Braised Pork Intestines
Okay let’s shift our focus from the regular pork rice and be noticed about another type of pork rice that does not technically involve pork meat, but instead involve with braised pork intestines, fried fish meatballs, and chicken organs all in a plate! This special dish is sold at 10,000r/plate, but if you want the regular pork and rice, you can get it at 5000r, the least expensive at this place.

BONUS: Bay Dara Raksmey
After tasting all these pork rice places, the last place we would like to suggest is Bay Dara Raksmey that is also well-known for their braised pork intestines and rice, which is 5000r. Even better, they also sell pig brain soup at 5000r, pandan jello at 2000r, coconut jello at 3500r and also cooling fresh coconut juice that will chill your heart and soul!
