1. Eclipse Sky Bar

Eclipse Sky Bar floats above the roof of the Phnom Penh Tower, one of the highest buildings, in the central part of the town.

Climbing atop the roof of the 22 floor tower, what I could see was taking my breath away for a second. The stunning view of the city sighting from the heart point together with the enchanting playlists of western pop song played non-displeasingly in the atmosphere made the bar perfect to wind down the fatigue after work. Equipped with around 15 tables, some comes with the sofas, the seating areas are proved to be one of the most comfortable bars I have ever visited. The topless roof allows you to breathe, clear your head while looking at the stunning sight of noisy and busiest roads in Phnom Penh.

Sipping my favorite drink, Cosmopolitan while having fried chicken wings as the appetizer, the choices aren’t every different for me in anywhere but the tastes that matters the most. The menu is quite familiar to any other restaurants and bar though, just a friendly reminders to better to pack with more cash if you come since the menu is a bit pricey compared to others bar.

2. Cloud9 Skybar

Lifting myself to the eleventh floor of the Sun & Moon Urban Hotel caused me confused on where to the entrance of the bar. At the first minute, I thought I was at the Marina Bay Sand when the colorful display of the design and crystal clear water reflected swimming pool appeared, but it was not. Still okay.

Standing not very far from the riverside, Cloud9 Skybar does have a perfect venue to spy the river and other site attraction that lit up around the city.

There’s a blue and highly seductive signature cocktail named Sex on the Cloud popped up on the cocktails menu. Mixing a fine measure of vodka with Cranberry juice, the drink was smooth, sweet and went deep and deeper very easy driven along the stunning background I sit.

The menu price there reflect the upscale environment, with cocktails starting at the $5 mark and main menu ranging from $6 up.

3. Le Moon Terrace Bar

Crossing the corner of Sisowath and Sotheros streets, there is a rooftop bar named Le Moon. The area are surrounded by restaurants and bars served for Expats and Tourists in the famous Riverside Area, only 200m from the Royal Palace, except Le Moon is the highest one.

With opened sky ceilings, big comfortable seat and a display on the wall, soft jazz and lounge in velvet; making this rooftop bar a fine spot to drag a date or friends, rather than enjoying the lonesome alienation. Views there were priceless. The natural air-conditioning of the outdoors and distant Riverfront hum knocked off my agony. The flow of river was visible with the throngs of motorbikes far below.

It’s a shame that cocktails weren’t ordered to match up with such dainty views and a mellow vibe. So I decided to have Tequila Sunrise to get my cocktail kicks since I like Tequila.

It has the citrusy aroma of orange juice as well as the gentleness of Grenadine, and the taste was crisp and fresh accompanied with French fries as the appetizer.

This is what once in life can’t be missed, so go, sit and chill.

4. Elephant Sky Bar

Found in the treasure spot, Elephant Sky Bar grants the perfect views of the heart of the city as glittering dome of Independence Monument is clearly displayed in such a busy town.

The 180° night view from table nearby the blue lighten up swimming pool made the sky bar very romantic and poetic to experience with a date. Red wine is a must for such romantic background equipped with the soul pop songs that were playing non threateningly.

Through a sip of Pinotage (red wine), I could feel the connection with the anthem serenading around the climate adding a plate of chicken chest steak with fried potato as the complement.

Highly recommend for those who love cozy environment with such an excellent view to boot.
