25 Popular Food Franchises We Need In Cambodia RIGHT NOW

Another year end is approaching and it seems like time is just flying by fast when you are living your best life and eating the most delicious food. As a new year is just around the corner, it also means the perfect time to jot down some brand new resolutions (in 8K, if I may add) and while doing that, in FoodBuzz’s tradition we didn’t only jot down our Super Hi-Vision System resolutions, we also came up with a list of popular food franchises that we hope 2019 might bring. The list may be a little extensive and ambitious, but you know a foodie can dream, right?

(Disclaimers: This list is not ranged)

#1 Jollibee

I think we need more diversity in our fast food scene in Cambodia so why not starting off with this insanely popular Filipino fast food chain? Starting from the Burger Steak to the Jolly Spaghetti and Fried Chicken paired with gravy sauce, Jolibee is another fast food culture of its own.

#2 Subway

Would you like a 6 inch or a footlong? If you’ve tried Subway before then you know while it’s considered a fast food chain as well, it doesn’t feel like so because everything is exclusive to your order and made just for you and I mean who doesn’t love some hot sub while you’re on the go? Subway is one of the American fast franchises that are actually worth the hype and we, FoodBuzz, love it dearly.

#3 Tacobell

Far from being called an authentic representation of Mexican food, but it would be a cool and refreshing addition to our fast food scene because our options are kinda very limited as of now.

#4 Dunkin’ Donuts

Who DONUT love donuts? Especially colorful, fun donuts like Dunkin’ Donuts? Fun to see and fun to eat!

#6 After You Dessert Cafe

Started in 2007, this cafe has expanded to several locations in Bangkok but that still hasn’t stopped people from queuing every day for their signature Shibuya toast 11 YEARS LATER so we hope this franchise will find a way to our kingdom, very soon.

It’s like you can almost consider this as a delicacy and it tastes just as good and delicious as it looks. If you have taken a bite into one of these cheese tarts, then you know eating it is truly an experience and god, the deliciously soft and creamy cheese filling will forever haunt you and make you want more.

#9 7 Eleven

“But wait, this is not a food franchise! It’s a convenience store?” Yes it is, but the huge selection of snacks, pre-packed meals and beverages makes a trip to this as exciting as one to restaurant and it’s also very wallet-friendly. So hey, why not? And the fact that it’s open 24/7 makes this even better.

#10 Pancake Cafe

This fancy-looking, fluffy pancakes are literally melt-in-your-mouth and that’s why it’s worth all the hype and queuing but it would be a tab bit better to cut the trip short and queue in Phnom Penh rather than Bangkok.

Dubbed at the best ramen in the world by Forbes, having a bowl of this popular ramen involves queuing, buying meal tickets and sitting in a singular booth. But why singular booth? Because it’s said that’s how you get to fully focus and savor the ramen in all of its glory.
