There are not many joints that survive through selling Khmer snacks, but if you’re driving around Sonthomuk area you might notice a little joint that sells those snacks called “Sna Dai Laor”. It is one of the best joints in town that makes delicious Jek Jean.

There is something special to their Jek Jean. First of all, the aroma of it is just so mouth-watering. It spreads the good banana aroma like it’s telling you to eat it quickly. Then when you bite into it, the crust is just so crunchy that makes you keep biting for more.

Not to mention that the crust is not oily or greasy at all, the banana is just so perfectly fried. As for the banana itself, it is so soft and sweet. The moment you bite the crust, the banana inside just melt in your mouth like ice cream. The more you eat it, the more it gets more addicting.

As for the place itself, there is no seats for you to sit as the concept of this shop is take-away. And you can actually see the process of making the fried snacks which is really good. You will see that their process is clean and hygienic. It makes you feel safe eating it without worrying about getting infection from non-hygienic food.

As a person who grow up eating these snacks, I’m gladly to introduce you guys to this joint where you can eat your favorite childhood snacks. Through globalization, our Khmer Snacks has lost their original popularity in the market. It is a good choice for you guys to go and grab some good classic Khmer snacks while saving them from disappearing at the same time.
