Live as long as the noodle strands with our Longevity Noodle Recipe
Longevity Noodle is one of the main highlights on the Chinese New Year day of celebration. Ever wonder why it was named this way? Chinese people believed that if you eat Longevity Noodle, your lifespan will be long just like the noodle strands hence the name!
In the light of the celebration, CookBuzz is here with an easy-to-follow recipe for Longevity Noodle!
Ingredients:
Yi Mein noodles (300g)
Chinese chives (50g)
Bean Sprouts (100g)
Soy sauce (4 tablespoons)
Oyster sauce (2 tablespoons)
Water (1 bowl)
Flavour Seasoning Powder (½ tablespoons)
Sugar (2 tablespoon)
Minced Garlic (1 tablespoon)
Vegetable oil 4 tablespoon)
Pork Belly (500g)
How to:
1. Soak the noodles in plain water for 20 to 30 seconds then set aside. Cut two pairs of leaves, three handles, at least three leaders, and a festival to three. Chop the Chinese Chives at around 5 centimeters, thinly sliced the pork belly and minced the garlic.
2. Mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, warm water, Flavour Seasoning Powder, sugar and minced garlic together and then put aside.
3. Warm up with a pan before pouring the oil in, then add pork belly first before adding the minced garlic and stir it well together until golden brown. Put the Yi Mein noodles in and make sure to incorporate it well with the sauce before adding in the sauce, Chinese chives and Bean Sprouts.
