La Crêperie: A Hidden Paradise for Authentic French Crepes
If we were to talk about French pastry, the first types to come to our minds would be Baguette, Croissant, Danish, just to name a few. It is rare, though, for us to think of crepe aka the forgotten holy grail of French pastry. But hey, it is totally understandable why Crepe isn’t remembered and mentioned enough because a good crepe is freshly prepared and cooked and bakeries cannot afford that.
It’s great that way though, isn’t it? We can save crepes for a fine-dining experience!
La Crêperie PHNOM PENH is a hidden gem at Bassac Lane that serves authentic French crepes, prepared and cooked by a native French chef using ingredients that are either imported from France or homemade by the chef.
“Crepes With Fire” is a must-try, and yes, the “Fire” here is literal as you will witness fire burning on the plate right in front of your eyes as alcohol is poured by the chef onto the crepe. A feast for the eyes, and a feast for the stomach! Other than crepes, you can also try Galette, brown crepes using buckwheat power or pasta and salads.
Whatever you want as long as it’s crepe-related -sweet with ice cream, whipped cream or savory with smoked salmon, ham, sausage, La Crêperie’s got you covered!
