Authentic Korean food with Soju and Makgeolli at Jumak Cambodia!

Historical K-drama lovers would get it when we say that traditional Korean food just looks so appetizing! Just a table full of unique food, drinks and side dishes. Well, you’re in luck because today Foodbuzz is here to introduce you guys to this new Korean bar called Jumak Cambodia.

Jumak Cambodia just recently launched around the TTP area but has been gaining attention for the authenticity of their food as the owner themself is a Korean nationale. The recipe and ingredients are imported straight from Korea that can be unique to our Cambodian palate.

‘Jumak’ in their name refers to a traditional Korean tavern back in the day that inspired the clean yet retro twist in their decor. The atmosphere is amazing with tables big enough for gathering with friends and family.

The store’s concept reflects this because they’re a bar that serves soju and makgeolli. The decor has a retro vibe. It feels cozy, very hygienic, and has big tables to seat gatherings. This Korean bar prized their liquor selection of Korean Soju and Makgeolli (Rice wine). The Soju itself came with a huge variety but look out for their special combination of Soju and Yogurt! The cold drinks pair perfectly with the sweet and spicy Korean fried chicken.

For those who might not like spicy food, you can try their other tasty dishes. For one, their steamed pork smells amazing as the other spices already musk the meaty smell.

They also offer a Korean garlic sauce that is a little sweet, but also tangy from the lime mixed with freshly ground garlic. Other than that, the restaurant has seafood pancake and fish cake soup with clams and mussels. Just imagine taking sips of these steamy dishes on these rainy days! Yum!

They also have unique fusion dishes like Kimchi Cream Pasta, a fusion between Italian pasta with thick cream and kimchi. The sourness from the kimchi works well with the cream to make the taste not tiresome. Another dish is their Corn Cheese which is aromatic with butter.

Finally, we recommend you finish off with some dessert! Jumak Cambodia has Korean desserts to give you the full Korean dining experience. Bingsu is like Khmer shaved ice except the ice is very light and topped with unique toppings. There are 3 flavors - mango and vanilla, chocolate and banana, and the most unique is injeolmi and red bean. Injeolmi is a Korean rice cake made from glutinous rice flour.

Let’s meet up in the evening at Jumak Cambodia for authentic Korean food!
