It’s 2019 and wearing gold is just simply not it anymore. We have moved past that, we now CONSUME gold, literally.

An Cha has recently introduced their “Gold Collection” consisting of Golden Brown Sugar Fresh Milk and Golden Brown Sugar Milk Tea that got us even more excited than regular milk tea does (and regular milk tea already gets us excited A LOT, so this speaks volume) and we just had to try it out!

We opted for the Golden Brown Sugar Milk Tea and at a glance, it is one gorgeous cup of milk tea. Its beauty is ethereal and the blinding gold on the top? Stunning! Holding this extravagant cup of milk tea in hands makes us feel like we are now one step closer to achieving our dream of marrying a billionaire or basically, like when Rachel Chu found out how wealthy her boyfriend Nick Young’s family actually is.

Topped with cheese cream and the 100% Dubai-imported gold foil, it is served with brown sugar tapioca pearls and while it looks refined and extremely Instagrammable, the gold foil doesn’t do or add anything noticeable to the flavors or milk tea and if you wonder what the gold foil actually tastes like?

It’s just bland and most likely, you can’t even tell what it tastes like as it is stuck on your lips or corner of the cup.

So, would FoodBuzz recommend this? Absolutely not as we do not think it’s worth the price. However, it might be worth it to try for the experience and some boujee Instagram stories.
