Freshly homemade Fish stick roll-Mak​ Yong

When it comes to exploring, there will always be a topic of food that pops up in your mind. And since FoodBuzz is a food lover we tend to always think about food. This being said that today we will be talking about one specific food. This one dish is undescribably popular among Asians, It acts as a snack, street food, or a meal itself. It is also a part of the cultural food in some countries.

You might be familiar with the Fish-stick rolls or you could call it Fish cake. A very simple food, yet it strive almost everywhere across half the globe. 

Even in Cambodia, you could find fishcakes almost everywhere doesn't matter if it’s on the street or in a fancy restaurant. Although, there is only one specific fish that is the greatest ingredient for fish sticks, and that would be the Bronze featherback. Bronze faetherback fish stick is one of the best-tasting and textured fish stick out there. Besides, not all fish stick is homemade, and not every fish stick is made from Bronze featherback. 

Except, today FoodBuzz is here to announce to you “Fish-stick rolls Mak Yong” a local street food that has been created since 1990, from then this place still provides quality and freshly cooked homemade Fish-stick rolls. At this one place, they serve quite a unique homemade Fish-stick rolls, all of the food is made by hand. They only make a decent amount at a time since they don’t want to waste it, besides they all of their food is organic, which doesn’t use any special type of chemical to keep the food last longer, on top of that, they don’t even use MSG that was known to be the king of flavor itself. She has two types of meat on the menu, which there will be beef and fish​ "Bronze featherback (ត្រីស្លាត). 

Now that we know what she’s selling, let’s talk about flavors, the beef meatball is delightfully delicious and after eating it you know for sure that you are eating beef meatball because the sense and texture of it, is just so fresh and chewy at the same time. Nonetheless, the star that makes her place shine the most is the Fish-stick rolls, which have three flavors and those are original, vegetable (contains veggies in the fish stick which make the food taste even more luscious and sweet along with the veggies textured inside), then there’s spicy for people who love spice must really love it as much as those who is not a big fan of spice could also enjoy it since it tasted just right not too spicy nor too bland. 

In addition to that, she also offers pickled cabbage that are the customers' favorite, for that reason is that the pickles are so fresh and taste just outstanding, especially under the hot sun. Moreover, if you were to combine the meatballs or fish-stick with the puckle the taste would be unexpectedly good, cuz’ the crunchiness of the pickles together with the soft and tender meat will set you another standard of snacks or street food.  

Her place is most well-known around Orussey Market, Olympic Market as much as Central Market, people from different places would come and purchase her food. Which lead her to sell 50kg of meatballs and fish-stick per day.
