Mashisoyo : This Korean Restaurant Should Be On Your Eumsok Rader

The number of Korean restaurants in Phnom Penh is quite staggering; however, there is not such a thing called “too many” in our foodie’s dictionary, right? The more dinning places, the merrier we will be. Today, FoodBuzz would like to take the honor of being the bearer of this good news of the newly opened Korean restaurant to our fellow foodies.

Hiding in a small block of Toul Touk area, there stands a modest-looking Korean restaurant, Mashisoyo Cambodia with transparent glass manifesting the wonderful Korean vibes within. Although Mashisoyo Cambodia is much smaller in comparison to other Korean restaurants; nevertheless, this restaurant possesses its own charms, capturing its customers’ hearts through their stomachs.

We were completely seduced by the sight of the sound of our neighbors slurping their fire noodles, munching on the chewy tteokbokki and clinking their Soju shot glasses. We quickly made our order and our foods arrived soon afterward.

We started with a wooden plate of fried Meat Skewer, and followed by Classic TTeokbokki which also tasted absolutely divine, chewy in texture and sweet and spicy in flavors. Our Kimchi Jjigae Ramen soon made the grant appearance and it was very rich in ingredients and a huge portion as well which was perfect for sharing. It was served on their multi-section pan where you could find kimchi stew with ramen, sausages, spam, tofu, rice cake and vegetable in the middle section surrounded by cheese, corn, egg and kimchi.

Once the broth boiled, you could smell the delicious and enticing aroma emitting from the goodies on the pan. The meal ended with a clink between our cold and refreshing Strawberry Fizz and Passion Fruit Fizz. Such a delight to our taste buds!
