Cambodian Preserved Sweet Soybean Recipe
Preserved sweet soybean is one of the long-shelf food that is super versatile and very delicious. It is good to have preserved sweet soybean in your fridge especially for this period of time. Here is how to make the preserved sweet soybean and it is very easy.
#Ingredients
- Soybean 130g
- Brown Sugar 130g
- Fish Sauce 500 ml
- 2 tablespoons of Rice Wine
- 1 tablespoon of sesame oil
- 4 cloves of Garlic
#How to Make
- Soak soybean for 4 or 5 hours and set it aside
- Bring water to a boil in a medium saucepan and boil the soaked soybean for 90 minutes under medium-low heat.
- Heat another pan to hot, add sesame oil and garlic, stir until fragrant.
- Add the brown sugar and continue to stir until the sugar turns darker in color for 2 minutes and turn off the heat.
- Gradually add the fish sauce and stir until it completely dissolves.
- Drain the boiled soybean, add the soybean to the sugar and fish sauce mixture and mix well.
- Add the rice wine and stir well.
- Pour into a container, let it sit for 3 or 4 days, and enjoy!
